The Stop Hunger Diet was developed as a response to the food availability inequality in the world — there are millions of people in the world who go starving on a daily basis while there are possibly an equal number in the western world who are over-eating and making themsleves sick. This diet addresses both of these — it provides a way reducing the food you eat and losing weight and at the same time feeding the poor.
The initial idea for the Stop Hunger Diet came about in early 2009 by the husband and wife team, exercise physiologist Rob Wood and dietitian Clare Wood. In May 2009, a few pages about the diet were placed on the website Topend Sports. In August 2010, a new website domain was bought to host this information: stophungerdiet.com. Since then the traffic to the webiste has been low but gradually climbing. In August 2011, the Stop Hunger Group was founded, the website was revamped with a new look, more ways to help were added and social networking links were added to help spread the word. In 2024, due to lack of traffic and the cost of upkeep, the stophungerdiet.com was dropped, and the information put back on Topend Sports, the parent website.
The first aim of any weight loss program is to lose weight, the second aim of course is to keep it off. Not all diets are very good at one or both of these. By following these dietician designed "Stop Hunger Diet: 5 Rules to Live By", you will lose weight, not fast, but healthily and consistently, plus you will learn good habits that will help you keep off the weight. Good luck, and let us know how you go.
